Enough excuses. I'm just giving it a go, slowly retrieving past memories and events, for my loyal readers out there.
Our twin sons turned two last June, 23rd. Yeah, that's more than three months ago. Guilty, as charged. Although I hate the idea of making birthdays such a big of a deal, but I also wanted the boys to know their lives are celebrated then, by their immediate families at least. So I made mihun goreng singapore, ordered nasi briyani, bought the super-delicious cupcakes from Wondermilk, tiup belon, and took the time to make simple mini-gift-bags for the kids. It's the boys' first celebrated birthday, anyway.
Our three children and their first cousins make only five kids altogether, so I invited Mijoe's family, just to noise it up a little. So there, all eight kids, four boys and four girls, with eight mini-gift-bags, who probably had one short excitement for a night. The adults, including their grandfather, were there to simply witness Ikhwan and Irfan cluelessly blowing their birthday candles. Not going to be an annual thing, but definitely will do it again, for silaturrahim.
Oh, and thank you Kak Zavia for the home-made chocolate cupcakes!
